Notice to all new and returning members!
Before any rider can join either our Saturday morning road ride or our Wednesday evening mountain bike ride, they are required to complete the membership forms AND pay the full membership fee. Due to Bicycle Nova Scotia regulations, if this doesn't happen the rider is not covered under the insurance policy and may thus jeopardize the insurance for other members.

Well Mr. Kavanagh and his army of trail elves have been working tirelessly to prepare the Gore trail system for this year's A-GORE-Aphobia mountin bike race. This is a Bicycle Nova Scotia points series race, and the trails are in the best shape they have ever been! With the main bridge replaced, the approach to the small bridge fixed, re-routing around the worst mudholes and some exceptional work on the grunt climb as well as tons of root and rock clearing, this will be the fastest and funnest course you've ever seen!

The Halifax Criterium returned for 2009 with absolutely perfect weather for a change! Not only was the sun shining, but the road surface was in fantastic condition thanks to a major effort by the city to do some paving. We had a huge turnout of racers making for some exciting racing action all day. The afternoon kids races were very well attended and everyone involved had a blast! Especially little Charlotte Wood who crossed the line at the back of the younger pack but amidst a large crowd of spectators all cheering for her. She even made the cover of the Halifax Metro News!
We've added some new sub pages with lots of information about the upcoming Halifax Criterium Race to be held on the Halifax North Commons on May 31, 2009. This is a fantastic spectator-friendly sport and the Bicycles Plus Cycling Club is happy to be hosting the event this year!
